Editorial Policy
Wireandworld publishes factual reporting and reference material about Latin America and its place in the world. Our editorial spine is the region and the running story, which we explain for a Latin American reader. We will not publish betting content, invented quotes, or unverified claims about a person’s private life. We do not present health, legal or financial information as instruction; such context is for background only.
Our work is divided into reporting and reference. The News, Regiones and Temas sections contain our original journalism, which reports on current events. The Explicadores, country pages, timelines and other reference material provide stable, fact-checked context. These two types of content are always clearly separated, with reference pages being updated as events develop but maintaining their core factual purpose.
When a claim cannot be independently verified, we will state this clearly. We do not present rumour or speculation as fact. For images, we use real photographs and always provide a credit where one exists. We will never publish a software-generated image of a real person’s face, as this violates our principle of authenticity.
Our coverage is structured through sections including Elections, Migration and Diaspora, Economy and Energy, and Press Freedom. These topics form the essential framework for understanding the region. Readers with comments or corrections on our content can write to the editorial team via the contact address provided on the site.
